This is a unique position for a highly skilled Head Chef to join the team at a scenic hotel in Lyme Regis. As a culinary expert, you’ll focus solely on cooking, preparing and presenting high-quality dishes for the restaurant and special events. Salary: Up to £20 per hour

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Live-In: Accommodation available at £78 per week

About the Role

This is a genuinely rare opportunity: a Head Chef role centred entirely on cooking, with no back-office or administrative duties to distract from the food. You’ll prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes for the restaurant and special events, with the creative freedom to develop menus and deliver exceptional culinary experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present dishes to the highest standard, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Develop and execute new recipes and menus, showcasing your culinary expertise.
• Collaborate with the hotel’s management team on menu planning and food preparation.
• Maintain the highest standards of kitchen hygiene, safety and cleanliness.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and delivering results.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a skilled chef, preferably in a high-end hotel or restaurant setting.
• Culinary qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Strong cooking skills, creativity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards.
