Set in a stunning coastal location on the North Devon coast, this prestigious resort hotel is renowned for its warm hospitality, quality dining and exceptional guest experience. The kitchen operates at a consistently high standard across multiple service outlets, delivering fresh, seasonal food to a discerning clientele.
We are now looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Chef de Partie to join the established brigade. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within a supportive team, working with quality produce in a beautiful setting.
The Role
As Chef de Partie you will take ownership of your designated section, preparing and presenting dishes to a consistently high standard. Working closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef, you will play a key role in maintaining the quality, consistency and reputation of the kitchen during busy service.
Key Responsibilities
- Running your own section efficiently during service, ensuring dishes are prepared and presented to the required standard.
- Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality food using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
- Supporting the senior kitchen team and helping to guide and develop junior chefs and commis.
- Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
- Assisting with stock control, ordering and minimising wastage on your section.
- Contributing ideas and supporting menu development where appropriate.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, or a strong Demi Chef de Partie ready to step up.
- A genuine passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
- Experience within a busy hotel, restaurant or resort kitchen environment.
- A relevant culinary qualification (e.g. NVQ / City & Guilds) is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety standards.
- A reliable, organised team player able to perform under pressure during busy service.
