|Main duties and responsibilities : Competently run a section of the kitchen with minimum supervision and be able to maintain standards while under pressure, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented to a high standard and attention to detail is paramount
Plan your time in the kitchen effectively and ensure that you are fully prepared for each service
Learn to competently run all other sections of the kitchen
Train and coach junior members of the brigade and set a good example to them at all times, whilst respecting the hierarchy of the brigade
Adhere to health and safety legislation and food hygiene legislation at all times, without exception by ensuring that established cleaning standards and procedures including fridge temperature checks and food dating procedures are maintained
Be self-motivated and demonstrate consistent focus and enthusiasm
Be able to undertake breakfast shifts when required to do so
Prepare staff food to the required standard when required to do so
|Essential criteria : You will be a flexible and hard working chef who has worked in hotel/restaurant serving a good standard of cuisine. Be able to easily fit into the existing kitchen brigade and be able to take instruction and work on your own initiative. It is essential that you have worked to at least 1 Rosette standards as a Chef de Partie|
