|Main duties and responsibilities : Bar and Food service to 2AA Rosette/4 Star Standard and maintain this standard
Menus/Wines Lists: Have good knowledge of products selling and good basic knowledge of wines, beers, weights and measures.
Micros System: Operating Micros Till system and gain enough knowledge to train staff in operating the till system
Working out weekly staff banquet rota to coincide with business
Staff Training/Product Knowledge for Waiting/Bar staff General
Assistants, mainly within the conference and banqueting department
Food Hygiene Certificate keep up to date: ensure Day Dot System is operating/stock rotation/Fridge Temperature checks carried out daily.
First Aid Certificate kept up to date
Health and Safety Certificate up to date and that these Rules adhered to.
COSSH Certificate kept up to date.
Ensure Restaurant/Function Bar/Function rooms are clean and free of any dust/dirt and cleaning rota is adhered to.
Dealing with any staff issues to include HR matters with
assistance of F&B Manager, GM and or company HR Manager
Working closely with Head Chef and Kitchen Brigade to deliver best possible service
Customer relations, ensure repeat business, promote company
Customer Service: Working to standards set by Oxfordshire
Hotels Limited and by the AA to 4 Star Standard/2AA Rosettes
Work with F&B Manager/Bar Manager to ensure Budget for F&B Department is controlled and assist in Maintaining G.P. as set by Budget for wet stock
Assist F&B Manager to keep control of crockery, glassware, cutlery, general table ware
Staff Uniform: ensure self and staff are correctly turned out at all times.
Cashing up and controlling floats in F&B Dept.
Duty Management Shifts/Night Management Shifts as required
Conference, banquet, wedding and functions; oversee
Staffing/wet stock ordering (in absence of F&B or Bar Manager)/ set up of event/maintain crockery/glassware/equipment
Assist GM & Wedding Co-Ordinator in organising and running conferences, banquets, weddings and functions
General show rounds for conferences, banquets, weddings
and other functions from time-to-time
Cellar Management (in the absence of the Bar Manager) ensure that TH & Dungeon Cellar is properly organised, clean, stock rotation being adhered to, beer lines are clean in all bars and in good working order.
